Self Love, B Love, Share Love

Hello world, I am back and eager to share all things Love, Tribe and Life. Enjoy the ride! -BAS

Self Love, B Love, Share Love

How do you Self-Care? If you don’t even know what Self-Care is, you are in luck, this is the perfect time to begin a daily routine. You may already have one and were not aware that filling up your individual Love tank is having a Self-Care practice. As you express unconditional Love to you, you are Love. It is when you are vibing in that Love vibration that you are truly able to share Love…..unconditionally.

I have heard many times at intake, “What is Self-Care?” or I see a blank stare or a blank answer—fully unaware of this new phrase. It is no surprise to hear that Self-Care is recently becoming more and more talked about. I just Love hearing commercials, social media posts and especially the (more centered) Real Housewives (yes, it’s a vice of mine) or other Bravolebrities talk about self-care. Curiosity in me certainly sparks when hearing how differently people Self-Care.

As a Mom, I experienced an onset of Mom-guilt (that’s a topic on its’s own) with baby number one. Now, baby number two and three kids later, I prioritize Self-Care to the max. I did learn and have become a daily routine practitioner of Self-Care.

A typical Self-Care day for me includes: daily meditation, waking up to 3 acts of gratitude (unless abrupt awakenings with kiddos come first), 15 minutes of stretching and body alignment checking in with a body scan, glass of water, healthy breakfast, sit and eat healthy breakfast with family, listen to music or chat with kids on morning school drop-off, call or text friends or fam to catch up or return calls, maintain a 2 hour screen time apart from TeleTherapy, aromatherapy with oils or sprays, shower connecting with water, sit down and eat a healthy snack or lunch tech-free, positive affirmations in the mirror, sing or hum tunes or chants, check emails a maximum of 5 times a day, connecting and checking in with emotions, breathwork & meditation during drives and stressful triggers, find a moment of stillness, End the night with: Netflix and chill/DVR shows, disconnect from phone, writing creative ideas and dreams, breathwork and meditation as I reflect the day.

To keep it fresh, exciting and for a continuous flow of being present, I am adding an additional round of 3 acts of gratitude (same from the am) at bedtime routine. As you may note, my daily Self-Care routine includes practices relating to Mind, Body, Spirit, Emotions & Social. By balancing all five of these components, I am able to fully connect to my best and highest version of me. I notice in days I practice this least, I am less connected to the best version of me.

This idea was the inspiration for the B Love Subscription Box. I want to make Self-Care easy, affordable and enjoyable with materials made by Artisans from different Tribes, delivered straight to your door. So far, we have had a positive response and great flow of subscriptions. May all people be happy and free. I believe in making a more loving world by living as our best selves—Self-Love is key to this.

I am truly grateful to have been raised by healthcare professionals valuing Self-Care. Teaching kids at an early age allows Self-Care to become a lifestyle. I often hear friends thank me for making it to gatherings, ceremonies and adventures they have planned. They are intrigued with how I am able to make some of the events since I am married, mother to three and run a business. My response is this: hanging with friends and having girl-time is Self-Care and I always make time for friends. I invite you to take a moment to reflect what your Self-Care routine is like…..happy Self-Lovin’.
